Law and Order - Special Guru Unit (**chung-chung**)
Not likely to be as much fun as the Crowley vs. Mathers court case, but still good for a giggle. Via Guruphiliac, this tale of enlightened seekers and true forgiveness:

"JZ Knight is either a typically lame woo-woo woman who's fooled herself and millions of others into believing she's some kind of 35,000-year-old badass warrior guru, or she's an as-sharp-as-a-sushi-knife con woman enjoying the good life, scot-free as she surfs on the spectacular ignorance of her students.

But lately, those Atlantian waters have been a little rough for the former manicurist turned super-rich New Age™ profitess. To protect that profit, Knight is suing another local woo-woo guru for biting her style. Every con has got to protect their cash cow:

School founder JZ Knight, through the school's corporate arm, JZK Inc., has sued another Thurston County spiritual teacher, WhiteWind Weaver, for allegedly stealing Knight's ideas and Ramtha's teachings and using them in her own workshop. Weaver heads Art of Life Coaching, a personal growth program based in Lacey and Rainier. A four-day trial is set to begin March 10 in Thurston County Superior Court.

How quaint: two completely wacked, fully-deluded, self-proclaimed New Age™ guruesses giving each other the business in court. We wish we could be there."

Figured I'd comment on an entry that involves my mom. My name's Nikki Willmeth, the 26 year old daughter of WhiteWind Weaver. The thing i figured i'd mention is that actually mom isn't a "self proclaimed" guru. She's a normal person who was a family therapist for many years, and finding that therapy didn't work she was inspired to create a coaching model that involves personal health as part of relationship health.

She is intuitive, she always has been. And ha lived and raised her kids, my brother and I, with a strong sense of self and personal wisdom. She's no different then anyone who just was born being intuitive. :shrugs: No one takes over her body, she's all herself.

At any rate, my moms teachings are about coaching, people, learning how to make your dreams come true etc. Its for normal consuption. On the other hand, JZ's is all spiritual. Nothing wrong with spiritual, in fact we came to the school because of some of the similarities - i thought maybe i would meet some one in my age group who cares more about telling the truth then getting drunk. Thats the type of spiritual path i'd like to be on, one that values honesty, truth, generosity more then anything.

My mom, with deepest respect and care, GAVE copies of her work to RSE, invited them to dialog. Though her work deals with a more socially consumable coaching/therapy part of making your life better, and JZ's is more a religion.

Anyhow, they ened up using my moms work and words and concepts in their events, and my mom, who is incredibly trusting just said "Oh, they dont mean to be disrespectful. I'll just talk to em." And about a month after they used moms work, they brought a lawsuit against her for "stealing" JZ's work.

Thing is, no only has my mom been doing her work 25+ years LONGER Then she ever saw JZ, but has video and written proof of that. Furthermore, even JZ showed surprise when she realized that copy right on moms work was many years previous to RSE. Did she stop the lawsuit? No. Because its no about morals, truth, honesty, etc. JZ is going back on everything she claims she teaches by destroying some one who doesnt bow down to her as master of all spiritualism. JZK knows its wrong. Hell, i'd say every person who actually works for her knows what she's doing is wrong.

Ultimately, the contract JZ has her students sign isn't even legally enforceable. It actually says that if a student has a dream of Ramtha and creates something as a result of it, that thing created is the property of JZ INC. Student is SOL. This isn't legally enforceable, which JZ Inc Knows.

If we didn't live 8 miles away from The RSE Ranch/School, i doubt we'd be agresssed on. And when i say agressed, i do indeed mean it.

We have had our homes broken into, this morning we called the police since some one was peering into the window and smashing something against the wall in a bid to cause terror. Our 8 or so acres have rituals and "voodoo" like symbols all over them thanks to our midnight "guests". A couple nights ago, our car was broken into, moms brakes were acting funny. Yea, we're checking it out. Marks have been left all over our floors, this week they took some sort of tool and gouged HOLES in moms floor. I could show ya pictures that'd make you go pale, and thats just what they leave outside. We've had more then one person tell us that JZ inc is shaddy, and they're worried for our lives.

But the worst thing about this isnt the harassment, or the ridiculous amount of money that JZK has leaked from us on a frivolous lawsuit they KNOW They cant win. Its the fact that people who know NOTHING of this situation judge her based off something thats simply not true. My mom, who once gave a family heirloom to a 16 year old to pay for his ticket to africa to help build clean water and food programs because he wanted to change the world - my mom, who as a child all my friends trusted more then anyone. My mom, who's goal in life has really been to teach people how to be happy, and has respected everyone in her world up to and INCLUDING JZK - Its that people write and say things in their public blogs, assuming that my mom is a wacked, fully-deuluded, self-proclaimed New Age guruess - even though she's dedicated herself to helping people.
